Regional Championship Tournaments

Pokémon Championship Series events are an opportunity for trainers to compete against other Pokémon TCG, Video Game Championship (VGC), and Pokémon GO players. The best players throughout the season can earn invitations to the Pokémon World Championships!

Regional Championship Tournaments are broken into three divisions, based on the year the competitor was born. For the 2024 Series, this is as follows:

  • Juniors: 2012 or later
  • Seniors: 2008 to 2011
  • Masters: 2007 or earlier

Regional Championship Tournaments at the 2024 Oceania Regional Series: Melbourne, will have Pokémon TCG, Video Game Championship (VGC), and Pokémon GO run across all three divisions on Saturday and Sunday. Tournament capacity is limited and pre-registration for these tournaments is essential.

The Champion in each age division for the Pokémon TCG, VGC, and Pokémon GO will earn a guaranteed invitation to the 2024 Pokémon World Championships, regardless of their Championship Point total at the end of the season. Additional prizes, including prize money and Championship Points, are awarded to the top players in each age division.
