Requirements – VG Players

● A copy (physical or digital) of Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Shield for the Nintendo Switch with the latest game patch installed.
● A fully charged Nintendo Switch with working USB-C port.
● A team of tournament-legal Pokémon (see the Tournament Rules and check back regularly before the event for updated rules).
● Players are strongly encouraged to bring a charger for their systems, as tournament staff will not have chargers available for loan.
● Players are strongly encouraged to bring a wired Nintendo Switch Pro controller to improve their gameplay experience.

Personal Vehicle

The Perth Town Hall is within close proximity of several car parks. For information on City of Perth Parking go to The nearest City of Perth car parks are:

  • Pier Street, between Murray and Wellington Streets.
  • Council House, 27 St Georges Terrace.
  • Perth Concert Hall, Terrace Road.

Public Transport

To arrive at the venue by public transport take a train to either the Perth Underground Train station or Perth Train Station on one of the following lines. From here it is either a short walk (less than 10 minutes to the venue).

  • Joondalup Line
  • Mandurah Line

Perth Train Stations:

  • Midland Line
  • Fremantle Line
  • Armadale Line
  • Thornlie Line


If you are catching a bus, the following bus stop locations are close by:

  • Red CAT bus stop is adjacent to the venue.
  • Perth City train station and the temporary Roe Street Bus Station are 3 blocks from the Town Hall


There is also a taxi rank adjacent to the Perth Town Hall.

Entry Fees

The cost of the event will vary depending on the division a player is in. Please note, registering online will save you $5 from the below prices.

  • For Masters division players, the pre-registration fee is $35AUD
  • For Juniors and Seniors division players the pre-registration fee is $25AUD


On-site registration will commence at 8am sharp, Saturday.
